Bring the southern charm and natural beauty of Oklahoma into your home with these one-of-a-kind Rose Rock knobs!
This set of 6 knobs, or pulls, have been thoughtfully designed and assembled using high quality, antiqued copper bases and hand-collected, meticulously matched, natural barite roses. (What are barite roses?? Keep reading!)
The length of each knob is around 40mm (about 1.75"), but each one varies slightly due to the natural shape of the Rose Rocks. The knob bases are a standard size and include the hardware (screws), making them easy to install on cabinets and drawers, or DIY / upcycling projects.
So, what makes these so special?
Barite Roses, or "Rose Rocks", are a rare formation of barite that naturally forms into the shape of a rose! These minerals are only found in a few places in the world, and Oklahoma's barite roses are considered to be the most beautiful!
Rose Rocks are an iconic symbol of Oklahoma, representing the love and connection people have to the state..
But, you don't have to be from Oklahoma to be charmed by our roses!
Incorporating these knobs into your home will bring a rustic, farmhouse, earthy aesthetic.
(Plus, they're a great conversation starter!)
Radiating energies that enhance love and passion, and encourage communication and healing, barite roses aren't just to look at -
they're something you feel.
Most importantly, barite roses are a reminder to take the time to experience, explore, and appreciate the small wonders all around us that nature offers us every day.
Your purchase includes an info card with lots of fascinating facts about Oklahoma's barite roses!
Red Dirt Roses is a sole proprietorship created and owned by Amber Lacy in Norman, Oklahoma. All items are handmade, and all the Rose Rocks are hand-collected. Barite Rose Rocks are moderately low on the Mohs scale (hardness level), and can be easily damaged if stored with other rocks (including other Rose Rocks). Store your roses individually with padding or bubble wrap to keep them safe.
And, to avoid fading, display them out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
My Native American husband's family owns land in Oklahoma county, and the Garber Sandstone Formation (where rose rocks are formed) runs right through the area. Given full permission (and extremely thankful), I collect the roses from their land!
