Barite roses are known for radiating positive energies that encourage communication, femininity, passion, and healing from trauma and grief.. and they serve as an incredible gift from nature to remind us of her love.
*About Rose Rocks and Red Dirt Roses:
Barite roses (aka Rose Rocks) are an incredibly rare, natural mineral formation that look just like roses in bloom! Barite rosettes occur in a few other places on earth, but the ones found in Oklahoma are quite unique and are considered to be the most beautiful. During the Permian era (250 million years ago), an unknown factor in the areas geography caused the barite minerals here to form into amazingly perfect rose-like structures.
Due to land development, city expansions, and a proposed turnpike, the rural areas where Oklahoma's Rose Rocks are found are quickly disappearing. I'm on a mission to increase worldwide awareness and appreciation for them so they'll receive the attention they deserve. Future generations should be able to feel the happiness of finding their own Rose Rock in Oklahoma's Red Dirt.
You can help by gifting Rose Rocks to those that don't know about them, and following and sharing Red Dirt Roses on social media with your friends and family, I'm truly grateful for everyone's support! :)

Barite Rose Rocks are moderately low on the Mohs scale (hardness level), and can be easily damaged if stored with other rocks (including other Rose Rocks). Store your roses individually with padding or bubble wrap to keep them safe.
And, to avoid fading, display them out of direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
My Native American husband's family owns land in Oklahoma county, and the Garber Sandstone Formation (where rose rocks are formed) runs right through the area. Given full permission (and extremely thankful), I collect the roses from their land!
